I am trying to steer clear of the typical “I have to lose 20 pounds this year” bullshit. All I want to do is feel good this year. I want to eat things that make me feel good, I want to wear things that make me feel good, and I want to exercise in a way I enjoy (yoga, sports, walking). I have a lot of health problems in my family and have been in the hospital for a pulmonary embolism (blood clots in lungs) before so I know the importance of being active. However, I am over the hype that I should weigh something specific, I personally find it stupid and overrated.
Anyways, I have some other resolutions too:
- Read at least once a week
- Sketch 3 designs a week
- Photograph more of my life
- Sew something at least once a month
- Take more self portraits of Kevin and I
- Make my blog more than just a hobby
- Cook more challenging foods
That is all for now! I think I will continue to add more to the list. The beauty of a new year is the refreshing new start, I am going to try to better myself this year!
