#3 You want embarrassing? Well, let me think…it takes a lot for me to get embarrassed, but I seem to embarrass my husband all the time with my “mom humor” or my “mom understanding of the world.”
For example, my sister recently went to NYC, which I have never been to. She sent me a text message letting me know where she was. I turned to my husband and had the following conversation:
Me: Wow! Abby is visiting the bridge made famous by “Newsies!” (Yes, the musical released in the mid-90’s staring Christian Bale as a newsboy fighting William Randolph Hearsh.)
Hubbs: **stares with disdain** You mean—the Brooklyn Bridge.
**Pause**
Me: I mean, I guess…was that the one in Newsies?
