How would you recommend a plus size girl like you start modeling?
My advice would be to find photographers!!! If you have some photos taken by a friend or parent post them on www.modelmayhem.com! I have an account, and I have found ALL of my photographers there! Always try to shoot with students studying photography! It is awesome because they are your age (or usually close) and you can make some friends out of it!! Some of the other photographers are creepy, so try to talk to the ones who have professional work, and talk to models they have previously worked with! Or bring a person with you! That can always be fun! Just be safe. I think that is the best start-up advice I can give you! Good luck!
