A year ago today a girl who I went to high school with passed away from cancer. This girl I hardly knew, we had a few classes together but never talked. I almost hate myself for not trying to get to know her.
But I read her memoir and I feel like I went through the whole process with her. It is so strange how I passed her in the hallways but never saw how brave, beautiful, and inspirational she was. So, the best I can do is share her story.
