I know I just wore this jacket last week, I am just so in love with the cut and everything about it. But for this outfit I made it a bit more of a feminine look compared to last weeks. This dress is one of my favorite vintage pieces, because it fits like a dream and I love the skirt of it so much.

I have been apartment shopping lately, I am finally getting a place all to myself! :) I am soooo excited to live alone. And to decorate! Wahoooo!
Tomorrow is Friday and I cannot wait for the weekend, this was my first week full-time at ModCloth. Since my internship the summer of 2009! CRAZY. It has been awesome, but lots of work! :) I love being busy.

So this past weekend I actually got to taste what it was like having a life!! :} School is slow this week, Thanksgiving break next week, then I have three weeks of hell (2 weeks of projects, and 1 week of finals) after that! Then it will be winter break for a month, YAHOO! Winter break will be groundbreaking for my blog, I promise you! <3
This outfit was so easy to throw on, this dress is like an outfit on its own. I felt no need to add accessories really, except little stud earrings! :D

Yesterday was basically the best day ever! My last midterm was easy, it was friday, and the first day of spring break!!! LOVE IT!
I ended up drinking a bit too much, but water and some waffles cured that so I went to bed without the spins!! :D YAY! haha
Funny thing is I am going out tonight also, my friend is turning I think 27? I know I am cool, I have older friends. ;) But she is getting a limo to a club and we are getting bottle service like classy ladies!! :) HOPEFULLY I won’t drink too much tonight. I’m not used to all of this partying! It’s fun, but exhausting!

So. I made a dress last year, took all of these photos and then left for Ireland. I completely forgot about the dress, until I was going through my closet the other day!
So, I am wearing it to work tomorrow! But I also took pictures as I was making it that I STILL HAVE!!
I am a self-taught sewer, so I really don’t know what I am doing. Just sort of feeling it out. I have used patterns before, but I didn’t for this or most of my previous projects.
I made this dress out of a vintage sheet I found in a thrift store. I fell in love with the pattern, and decided to make something out of it. Found a tank top at forever 21 for $2 which would be way too short for my torso and turned these two items into a fabulous tank dress!
The cool thing about sheets is that they already have a lot of the sewing done for you, I just cut the sheet after I fitted it to my hips. I added extra room because I wanted it to be a comfy dress that I could dress up or dress down.
Something I did learn from this is that next time I make a dress like this I will put the elastic in the skirt AFTER I sew it on to the tank. I got ahead of myself and put the elastic in first before attaching the tank, and it was a lot more challenging to sew. I did it by hand, and that takes FOREVERRRRR. lol.
But I love how it turned out and will take a photo of me in it tomorrow!

Hello my tumblebabies!
So, I just wanted to post some photos up that I shot about two months ago, but just got to CD today!! :) And this will teach you a very valuable lesson about modeling.
Sometimes, things don’t go your way. I travelled to Philadelphia for this bridal shoot and it was a big deal for me: 5 hour drive, for an online magazine, very professional. It still wasn’t paid (haha can’t cut a break),but it was for a reputable magazine so I did it anyways. However, when I got there the dress didn’t fit… They had 4 BEAUTIFUL dresses, but I am about a size 14 in dresses and the dresses were at the smallest an 18. I was broken up, I thought it was the end of the world, the photos would look horrible… This was all in my head of course, always being courteous… ;)
So, yes it was so unfortunate, and yes these pictures might have looked better if the dress fit…But I made the most of it, I tried to work the dress as much as I could. You can’t let these things ruin the pictures! But here are some pictures of me in a HUGE wedding dress. Let me know what you think?

I ate soo much food yesterday, so I felt crappy this morning. This dress is perfect for that!! I look feminine yet funky and mod. I like this look… I kinda regret sitting, I like standing photos better… OH WELL

I bought this dress about a week ago, and I LOVE IT!!! It makes me feel sooooooooo sexy. I feel like I was meant to be Christina Hendricks friend on Mad Men! I cannot wait to wear it out!
Props of having hips? No wrinkles on your skirts (if they are pencil style). If you look at this picture the dress looks wrinkly, however on me its not at all.

Gosh, today has been so relaxing… It has been the first weekend ALL summer I have been able to be in the sun! It’s hard to believe I know! But back to work tomorrow, and my 21st birthday is in a week!! ahhhhh
