Hey Everyone!

It.is.so.beautiful.out. I seriously cannot believe it was snowing like crazy this weekend, and now its like 60 degrees out and sunny! It is funny how weather affects your mood, I am so bright and happy today! These photos are from yesterday when it was a bit colder, but still sunny! :)

I stayed up last night until 1:30AM reading the hunger games series. I got through book #2, and started book #3! When I start reading it is so hard for me to stop. So I am a little sleepy today, but chugging coffee so that should help.

This outfit was thrown together at last minute, which is what I do every morning, but I have never worn this dress with a thick sweater so it was cool seeing the textures together. :)

Happy Wednesday everyone! <333

Hey everyone!

How are you? Sorry about my vent last night, I was just going to explode unless I said something to someone. Kevin has been so great listening to my issues with life lately, I didn’t want to bog him down more, he can only relate to so much. Thanks for listening Kevy. ;)

So, this past weekend Kevin and I decided to save our pennies for a cruise in May! AHHHH! Our friends were doing it, so we decided we really needed a vacation. :) I have never been on a cruise, but it seems like a great way to island hop! EEEEEE! So excited.

This outfit is a super cozy daily uniform I wear to work. I have been living in these shoes lately, it probably has something to do with the fact that they are soooo comfortable!

Have a good week everyone! I love you! <3

P.S. I was interviewed for a german magazine called Portrait Magazine! Read all about it here.

Happy Thursday!

I am so glad this week is flying by. I am ready for the weekend, but when am I not? I think I am going to try to go thrifting this weekend. I need some new pieces to breath some new air into my wardrobe (read: bored with my clothing).

This dress is one of my favorites at the moment. It is so easy to throw on and not have to put much of an outfit together with it, it is such a statement by itself.

Anyways, I hope you are all having a fantastic week. I started the Hunger Book series last week, (Kevin and I have our movie tickets for it already) so reading that has taken priority. I bought groceries for the first time in 3 weeks. Wahoooo. Also, I found out that my best friend is preggers. Lots going on here!

Hey everyone!

Happy Wednesdayyyyyy! I am so happy we are already half way through the week. I am tired, but have a happy hour event with friends after work so that is keeping me going!

The light was so pretty when I took these the other day, so Julie and I had to take advantage of it. :)

Lots of cool stuff is happening in my life. I would rather not tell you all of it mostly because I am not sure what is actually happening and what is just happening in my head. Oh, and I overanalyze everything too, so that helps. ;)

But yea, more on this later.

HAPPY FRIDAYYYYYYY! <3

Hey everyone!
This was the last outfit I felt like documenting during fashion week. After 3 days in the same wooden heels I was over it. lol But never the less, here it is!
The end of fashion week was a bitter one, I was excited to leave and go home, but I was also sad to go because it was also such an eye opening experience. I know I said I met some nasty people, but I also met some really nice people in the process.
I have more photos than shared here on Madison Plus, because they are the ones who I went to fashion week for! Check them out: here and here.
dress+shoes: ModCloth (old)
sunnies: Asos (old)
necklace+belt+jewelry: vintage
velvet top: c/o Miskabelle Vintage

P.S. Shout out to the security and workers of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, you guys didn’t take bull shit from anyone no matter what their name was or what magazine they worked for. Really appreciated it. <3

Hey everyone!

This is what I wore the second day of fashion week. I figured I would bust out my favorite corset. You have no idea how long this corset took me to put on that morning, which is probably a good thing because it was a tad embarrassing. However, it was totally worth it. I kept seeing leather all over the runways so I definitely busted this out, and felt fabulous in it.

This was more of a casual look but still chic, which I was going for after the frigid weather my first day of being out and about. If you haven’t noticed these are the only fancy shoes I brought (no room in the suitcase for more).

Of all the outfits I wore for fashion week this was my favorite. There is something about a good classic separates look that makes me swoon, and this corset is so well made I cannot get over it. I felt like a more fashionable version of batwoman! ;)

But luckily for me I got to meet up with Meaghan, and she was amazingggggg. It was so nice to see a familiar face in a crowd of conceited fashionistas.

What do you think of this corset in my more casual outfit??

Here are some photos I took from the Vantan Tokyo 2012 NYFW Fall RTW show.

Hey everyone!

TGIF! I am so glad it is Friday, and very excited to recover this weekend. Here are some pictures from the Rafael Cennamo presentation that I attended! His work is really fantastic, and it was packed when I went in to look so I didn’t get the best pictures. Never the less here are the images I took while in the showroom.

Rafael Cennamo did a great job with translating his nordic vision for his Fall 2012 presentation. I really loved the styling and the over all feel of the showroom. The deep blue hues, the amazing cuts, and the occasional sparkle really blew me away. My favorite of his this season was definitely his turtle neck dress with the cut outs around the bust and waist with black sheer fabric underneath. I love everything about the cut, the styling, and even the model makes it all pull together so nicely. He is a new designer and I am excited to learn more about him and his designs, I am looking forward to watching his career grow!

As you know I went to Fashion Week for Madison Plus, see the original post and some more pictures here.

<3 Have a good weekend!

OH MY GOSH.

So, I have been lucky enough to be invited to fashion week by Madison Plus (and got some great invites by Little Lime Dress) and was off to New York City for the 2012 Fall RTW shows at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

First day was fantastic. I arrived Saturday at 7am (from an overnight bus), and was ready to take the city by storm! I got breakfast with a good friend and prepared for my first New York Fashion Week show ever. I cannot even tell you all the things I was feeling on my subway ride to the Lincoln center. But most of it was just general nervous and freaking out. My schedule for the day was Rafael Cennamo, Hervé Leger, Vantan Tokyo, Monique Lhuillier, and Venexiana.

Wow, that is a mouthful. But nevertheless, I was so ready for anything and everything that came my way (other than pronouncing their names correctly)…

When I finally found my way to the Lincoln Center I was overwhelmed with the amazingly fashionable crowd. I walk up those grand steps with my, newly changed into from the subway, heels. My iPhone in one hand, my SLR in the other, ready for whatever.

I had no idea what to expect, but I walk into the building and was instantly freaked out. I stand in line for the show I am ready for and an employee approaches me asking if I had a barcode. I was soooo excited to say yes, and moved to the front of the line! I felt like royalty. Then I was moved into another line, of which I saw two of my favorite bloggers at the front of the line, so I began to shake.

The first show was at the box, which I found out shortly after I went in that it was my least favorite room. Super crowded and warm, but Rafael Cennamo’s clothing was really great.

Stay tuned from more of my fashion week adventures…

Happy Fridayyyyy!

Kevin babysat this little golden pup and he quickly won my heart. Luna still is my favorite puppy, but Bodhi (his name) is a happy ball of fluff who always wants my attention. Him and Luna played for hours and are best buds!

So, I got really sick last night and I am trying to fight it off before I leave (tonight) for New York! Ugh.

I take an 11pm bus tonight to arrive bright and early in the city that never sleeps. Appropriate right? I won’t get any sleep, arriving to the city that never sleeps? Yeaaaa

ANYWAYS, I through on this outfit to do a quick run to the fashionable run to the doctor. But really it was for you guys! :} I will be blogging a ton while I am in NYC so I will be very present on my blog, do not fear.

You can follow me on twitter, and instagram. I will surely be updating those two accounts the most! :)

Time to go! I have a full day ahead of me, next time I will be blogging it will be live from New YORK! <3333

Hey everyone!

This is another go-to outfit of mine. A huge sweater, belted, with skinny jeans and some colorful shoes. I just got these skinny jeans in the mail and I LOVE them! Forever 21 for like $20! I am typically a size 16 in jeans, but I got the size 14 and they are kinda big! Crazy?!

Anyways, things are getting more and more real the closer I get to Friday! I still cannot believe I am going to NYFW and to some fashion shows! AH! Still freaking out and not sure what to wear, but my bus leaves Friday at 11pm, so I have some time.

I hope you all have a fantastic Thursday! See you tomorrow! <333

P.S. I almost forgot! I got a new name! I am now officially The Curvy BLOGGER! :D YAY! Why did I change my name? Read this. What do you think of the new name?

Hey everyone!

This week has been nuts so far, I am getting everything ready for my time away from work and trying to figure out what to wear to New York Fashion Week! I am freaking out to say the least.

My outfit this week will be a bit more comfy and casual (I am trying to save my good clothes for next week). This look was really easy to throw on! I didn’t have any pants clean so I was kinda forced into wearing a skirt. I never wear this top because it is too short, but tucked into a skirt makes it perfect!

Anyways, this week is nuts and I cannot wait to share my photos and journal with you as I am crashing fashion week! :)

scarf: gifted from a good friend

p.s. Did you hear about Karl Lagerfeld calling Adele fat?! I was kind of annoyed, but Adele is perfect the way she is and I adore her. How does this make you feel?

Hey everyone!

It’s Thursday and I am shooting for ModCloth today! Hopefully you will all see those photos soon. :)

I felt pretty ballsy the other day and wore this corset to work! Crazy right? I felt like Esmerelda. This dress I got while thrifting, it is like a 3X and I loved the color so I got it anyways! It looks like it was meant to be paired with this corset. :)

This corset is so well made. It really holds me in and shows my waist. I did need some help getting it on in the morning, but it was worth it!

The light is perfect this time of day, but my hair is a mess and the backlight realllly shows that. haha oops! ;)

P.S. What do you think of wearing corsets in your outfit? Too sexy?
