(this post is from Madison plus, but I am in some of the pics! Annnd I took about 50% of them!)

Last Friday we spent our evening hanging out with all of our fans at the Lord & Taylor, Madison Plus FNO event.

Erica and I had an amazing time running around the floor styling up the curvy mannequins in pieces from Micheal Kors, Not Your Daughters Jeans, Adrianna Papelle, Calvin Klein and Jones New York.

I loved styling my outfit, I decided to rock Micheal Kors head to toe. I was in love with the animal print skirt and the purple blouse with the grommets just popped my outfit.

All I did to my hair for the night was some big velcro rollers and wore them around the office while I worked. Talk about multi-tasking at its best!

We were so excited that Mandy and Natalie came up to help us cover all the exciting FNO events. After joining us to capture the style competition they went on to visit Lane Bryant, True Boutique and Re/Dress.

Our three beautiful finalists from our style competition were Tina Santiago, Oby Nmezi and Tiffany Bank. Erica and I styled them head to toe in our picks from the Lord & Taylor plus floor. Which outfit was your favorite?

Our audience picked Tiffany Bank with her Calvin Klein fur coat and Jones of New York faux wrap dress as the winner!

If you want to see more pic’s check out our Facebook fan page and L&T’s.

Let us know what you would like to see us do next year!

This is what I would have worn my first day of school, yesterday, if it wasn’t so freaking hot! I just love this lace maxi skirt, I would wear it everyday if the weather would chill out a little (literally)! I bought it back in 9th grade after I officially parted from my “punk” phase. I wore it constantly for a while in high school then probably didn’t wear it for 3 years. Never the less I found it again and haven’t looked back! Ladies, do not be afraid to wear white this fall, as long as you do it properly. I always love a good white and black combo, but I wanted to get a little more creative this time by adding the brown belt and vintage gold necklace. Both the belt and necklace I got from a flea market! It is my final year of college, but this skirt makes it all bearable. Thank you white lace maxi skirt for lightening up my wardrobe.

How attractive am I? Got a nice slab of face mask on some zits I don’t care to be on my face for FNO… lol
If you can’t tell from this ridiculous face, I am stressed out. But seriously SO HAPPY. I had a fabulous day! I got comp cards (what I am holding) for some good networking in NYC this weekend!
If you are a new follower I am going to Madison Plus’s & Lord and Taylor’s event, and Lane Bryant’s! But if you follow me on twitter my plans may change and you will know! :D I would love to meet some of you!
Anyways, about today- school sucked, but I had to cover an event for the school newspaper (as a photog) it was an art exhibit! Seriously sooooo cool! The artists want me to share some of the pictures on their facebook fan page! They are called “A Dialogue of Art and Poetry; Huang Xiang and William Rock”! The art is amazing, I want some in my apt!
Very cool experience. Now I am going to edit some of those images, and pack… WHAT SHOULD I WEAR IN NYC???!?!?!?

My skort post for madison plus! :)

Comfort yet again! Let me fill you in on a little secret: this skirt is really a SKORT! haha I know brings me back to the 90’s when I was about 7 years old running around in skorts. But seriously, I found this one at goodwill and haven’t gone back. Denim is one of my loves, and this skort has been my companion all summer long!

Dressing it up or dressing it down is so easy. So- keep your eyes peeled for a skort near you. ;)

Digging my look??

HOT! I really like this shoot- it has been public for a week now I think. Its just a gorgeous inspiring shoot. Her sister and her look so fabulous TOGETHER!
This is what I want for the fashion industry to become. I want a combination of different body types. That will really put fashion designers to the test- it could show that they are actually talented if they can make clothes look good on every body type. Isn’t that what they are here for? If something doesn’t look good on us, why would we buy it?
I know from several occasions I come across something that fits like a dream. I instantly feel like I MUST have it! If high fashion designers had more variety with sizing I am pretty sure I would be broke they would make more money and have a better name for themselves. (Done venting)
So, are you loving this editorial for (AUSSIE) cosmo as much as I am?

Erica and I paid a visit this past Friday to the YFF Bloggers Conference meet and greet at Re/Dress in Brooklyn. It was great to meet in person all the fabulous bloggers that we have been working with over the months. Like everyone else, I have a bit of a crazy life. Full time job, part time student, model, photographer and fashion blogger. So, most of the time when I style myself in the morning I style myself for COMFORT. It isn’t the most fun I have had with my wardrobe, but it has helped me become more creative. I am all about bold crazy tops, paired with comfortable jeans or leggings. If I am feeling daring maybe some heels with it, to tie it together.

But I have learned that it is OK, not to wear a dress everyday. All you need is killer accessories!!! - Mandy

Me on Madison plus!! :D I am meeting the ladies of MP in NYC this weekend! :D

Today was much better than yesterday! Started off feeling super refreshed to wake up to a 99% clean room! I am finishing the 1% after a quick yoga session. :)

Went to class got to play poker IN CLASS, I love Casino and Gaming! Then ran off to work because they had a catered a Qdoba lunch for the office, because we are so darn cool. :} Then found out they wanted me to work a few hours helping with a few random things! I thought was pretty fun actually. I love helping in any way that I can and I needed the extra hours.

Next found out that my post/outfit photo was posted on Madison Plus!!! They have a fabulous blog, and are really up-to-date on the plus size world! :D So, that was cool!

Following that, I heard back from the make-up artist for my shoot this Saturday! I am getting my makeup done by MAC! :D Unfortunately, it isn’t a crazy make-up shoot, just a natural look. Our inspiration for this shoot on Saturday? ANTHROPOLOGIE! That is the look that Wilhelmina told me to get more of, so here I go! :) Also, I am in the process of doing a quick photo shoot with one of my good friends Sam this weekend perhaps.

Did I mention Kevin and I are running off to DCL after my shoot this Saturday?

FINAL and BIGGEST piece of news: A designer has contacted me on shooting some of her plus size swimwear! I will be on her tags, her suits will be sent to Torrid, and even possibly in a few magazines! :D I will give you all the details when I get the bathing suits!

Today was a great day. Was yours???? <why can’t I select the button on the right to check that you can answer? (Well, hit reply on the top of this post)…

Who said small cities don’t have fashion, the lovely Mandy is here as our guide to all things about being a fashionable curvy girl in Pittsburgh, PA.

“Pittsburgh isn’t exactly a hot spot for fashion, they tend to be a bit behind when it comes to trends. However, sometimes you just have to go your own way and do your own thing! Which is what I have always been pretty good at. I am a huge thrift-er, and that is one fabulous thing about this city. There are a lot of Goodwill’s, and Salvation Army’s all the while being completely stocked with old unique items. I could thrift shop all day!

My favorite item here is my scarf. This scarf was thrifted (go figure) and I really like using scarves as a neck pieces. I just think a good scarf can really pull an outfit together, or add that “wow” factor. I have been using this style for about a year now, and have gotten a lot of compliments! So, give it a try ladies!” – Mandy

Not all rumors are false!!

Plus size supermodel Crystal Renn made our dreams come true today when she walked the runway for Chanel 2011 Resort Collection in St. Tropez today (waiting for more images). We are happy to see that Karl Lagerfeld is now adding some new curvy shapes to his runway, and we are hoping that Lagerfeld continues on with this for fall fashion week and has put his dislike of plus size girls behind him.

Post by Madison Plus! I had to spread the word my dears! Now I am going to clean and not come back on tumblr until it’s done! haha
