Besides Fashion, my other love is Photography. I have been into photography for quite some time now, but studying it in college really made my love blossom into a hobby and part of my job!

I tried shooting weddings this past summer and really despised it. I love photographing the couples and the details, but it is too much stress for me. If you do not get the shot the bride wants you are screwed. 

However, I love travel photography (i’ll share some of my favorites with you later) and portraits like these above. :) Most of these photos are old, but I thought I would share them with you people regardless.

I did a lot of cool stuff, and it has been a great week! To top it all off tonight I am going out with my best friend, and tomorrow I am thrifting with Julie and Terra! :}

Happy Friday!

How was your week??

Hey everyone!

IT IS FINALLY FRIDAY! Thank goodness. I cannot tell you how glad I am, this week was the longest week ever. Sometimes when the going gets tough, I have to remember how many awesome things I have coming up. Such as NYC for NYFW in February! It will be freezing, but well worth it! I am so ready for some inspiration in my life!

Random thing about me: I have been constantly listening to 80’s lately. Which is awesome because it pumps me up to clean things and get stuff done… Exciting huh? Oh, my life is so thrilling sometimes.

Here is my week in review of instagram photos. I think I might do this more often, instagram is near and dear to my heart. :}

I have a few cool things to share:

  • If you look at my sidebar my boyfriend helped me add some icons of ways to connect! I added twitter, pinterest, facebook, my personal tumblr (for reblogs etc), and google reader. :)
  • Kevin also helped me add a search bar and an archive button! So have fun! :D

Life has been really good lately, but I have been insanely uninspired by my wardrobe. Hence the no outfit photos. Oh and the weather sucks. lol

I am sure you all know how I feel though! Like today at work I am wearing a scarf (as always) with a boring top and jeans, nothing exciting. Maybe I need to make more time in the morning for me to really get ‘dressed’. 

Any advice??

Well, since the world is going to end. I thought I would share some happy photos from my recent trip to LA with my man. So, prepare for a photo OVERLOAD. &lt;3 ^ Cutest puppy in the world. :} ^ My first pinkberry ever!! :D I had such a great time! Huge shout out to CLOOPS for making it happen! I have some awesome friends. Friends that have let me practice photographing them to learn and teach myself! This post is dedicated to these friends. Also, these are some of my favorite photographs I have taken of them. :) I <3 photography, and have so much to learn!!! :D  (Facebook fan page here)

FYI, I am doing my first two weddings this month!! AHHHHHH SO NERVOUS!! :D It will be so fun though. Please be a fan of my facebook photography page! <3

(WARNING: This post is going to contain MANY pictures) As I have mentioned before I brought my boyfriend Kevin to visit my family in Michigan for the first time ever!! We have been dating for 3 years and he hasn&#8217;t met my grandparents, aunts, uncles, or cousins. Finally he got to do that, but also he got to see where I grew up. Good old Rockford, Michigan. I have so many memories here, and for Kevin, the love of my life, to come see these places meant the world to me. It was something I have fantasized about since I started dating him. He doesn&#8217;t really understand why it is so important to me, to be honest I don&#8217;t really either. But he has lived in the same house his whole life. I have moved around many times, it is so bittersweet to go back to places I remember from my childhood. Taken with my Diana Lens that is why it is so dreamy looking. This was my old babysitters house (the house is farther up), right across the street from the first house I remember. We had to walk up this gravel road to where we played many games of simon says and ate lots of monkey bread. :) The good old days. The Rockford dams have a lot of memories for me as well- first kisses, lazy strolls, relaxing from shopping excursions, and field trips. It is funny to think of all the memories I have in this town and these streets, only because to you this looks like just another road. lol But it was such a successful day, lets get on to the good parts. I am tired of being all deep and emotional! lol :) We started with ice cream from the famous place in Rockford called &#8220;Rocky&#8217;s&#8221;! I had my favorite Moose Tracks and Kevin (stupidly) had vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate. This next picture explains why it was so stupid&#8230; hahaha I couldn&#8217;t stop laughing! He reminded me of a little kid. lol After he cleaned himself up we ventured off to the dam&#8230;(Pardon my make-up-less-ness) ;) Sloppy kisses for the camera!!! ;) And let the half a$$ outfit post begin! PRETTY PRETTY PICTURES FINALLY HERE! Party Edition:

Hilary: Attached is a photo of my husband and I at a wedding a few weeks ago. There is something about getting dressed up - since you don’t do it all that often - that makes you feel beautiful and elegant. This dress I am wearing reminds me of the ocean, and always makes me feel pretty and glamorous.

Annissa: This is me on the beach while camping. It was a moment of happiness and confidence and for some reason I wanted to be vain and take a photo of myself. Not just any part of myself, but the dreaded lower half. You know, the part of the body that strikes fear deep into my fat girl soul. And from below! I ended up really liking this photo, mostly because it’s breaking all the rules. There’s something empowering about being a headless fatty sometimes and there’s something very beautiful about how off-kilter and unkempt I look.

Renae: I’m on the right in this picture. It makes me happy whenever I stumble upon it because it reminds me of a great night at my friends party, she is on the left. All my friends were there and we were all dressed up and smiling the whole night. Plus, I love that dress.

Ashley: Even though most of my face is cut off it really shows a time where I am completely myself. It’s just me and my best friend being totally ourselves together and giggling over the dumbest thing while drinking wine that came from a box. Every time I look at this picture I remember how happy I was in that moment and how happy my best friend makes me and I can’t wait till she comes home (from Europe where she has been living for the past few years). I don’t care that I have multiple chins or that she is making a weird face—this picture to me is perfection!

Annie: Though blurry, this was a candid from a shoot about a month after I moved out of an unhealthy relationship, back in with my family. Struggling to see myself as I really was, and this was my first glance :) Finally started to believe I was beautiful, that I was worth more than what other led me to believe. I feel more confident and more in my skin as each day passes. but this was the start, a fun photo shoot with good friends.

So, Kevin and I had a date night! We ate tons of Thai food, and walked around a park in the North Side! It was very cute and romantic, also it was after work so that’s what kept me going all day.

Last week I binged on Thai food, probably 4 meals…

This week I need to save money, take all of my finals, move out and into another apartment! AHHHH

Today is “Super Saturday”! Which is a big day at our school, basically consists of drinking, socializing, and drinking some more. I am going to carry around a bottle of white wine, because I don’t feel like drinking beer tonight… One bottle of wine seems to suffice, without me getting too bad. I might post a picture of me and my wine bottle later, yes I drink out of the bottle! :}
