I leave for LA tomorrow afternoon and it still hasn’t exactly hit me. I called my mom this morning because I was really excited! She was really excited too, but then I told her what the website was and she got nervous… My mom is a very conservative dresser so knowing that I will be doing scandalous photos made her nervous! She even pulled the “do you want your dad, boyfriends dad, or family seeing these”?? No I really don’t, but I am not going to say “heyyyy family check out hipsandcurves.com and look at my ass!” lol you know?

This is also the most “sexy” shoot I have ever decided to do. I know I will be very comfortable, because when I start shooting I go into another world. I just don’t want to look trashy. It is all about the poses, a good model can make a trash bag look hot!

So anyways, I am going to do it, and I am NOT going to think about my family while shooting. Natalie said: “I am going to think about all the ex-boyfriends I have ever had, kind of like a F U to them” lol. I think that is the perfect thought! But I will also be thinking about Kevin, he has been so supportive of me, so I have to make him proud!

Also, about showing my body, isn’t that what a plus model is? I mean I am confident in my skin, but I don’t feel like sharing my naked body with the world if you know what I am saying!

Sorry, I am so scatterbrained right now: I am exhausted, stressed about school, flying to LA tomorrow, have photo assignments due, need to make up missing this weekend at DCL to Kevin and his cousin.

Ugh, I need to go to bed. BUT I AM SOOOO EXCITED! SO I am off to pack! I will be updating my blog/twitter as much as possible! I won’t have a lap top, so I will posting from my phone!!! <3333 you allll! Thank you for being so supportive through all of this!

My boyfriend bought me this lens for my birthday. He let me open it the weekend before my birthday because we were going on a journey to my hometown! :D

Here are some pictures from the roadtrip! I had so much fun playing with this lens! At first it bothered me because I like things to be sharp, and there is no way to get things perfectly sharp with this lens. But I reminded myself that is the point, once I accepted that I had a lot more fun with it. And then introduced it to my “artsy” side.

^^^This is my first favorite shot from the day. :) Tunnels scare me, but they are so picturesque.

My 2nd favorite shots were those of the football scrimmage, because they look like old photos from the 60’s or something!

So, go buy this lens now!! Yes, there is an adapter for Canon and Nikon! :D If you can dream it, you can shoot it with this lens. ;)

Mandy, Curves, Cameras & Couture

(WARNING: This post is going to contain MANY pictures) As I have mentioned before I brought my boyfriend Kevin to visit my family in Michigan for the first time ever!! We have been dating for 3 years and he hasn&#8217;t met my grandparents, aunts, uncles, or cousins. Finally he got to do that, but also he got to see where I grew up. Good old Rockford, Michigan. I have so many memories here, and for Kevin, the love of my life, to come see these places meant the world to me. It was something I have fantasized about since I started dating him. He doesn&#8217;t really understand why it is so important to me, to be honest I don&#8217;t really either. But he has lived in the same house his whole life. I have moved around many times, it is so bittersweet to go back to places I remember from my childhood. Taken with my Diana Lens that is why it is so dreamy looking. This was my old babysitters house (the house is farther up), right across the street from the first house I remember. We had to walk up this gravel road to where we played many games of simon says and ate lots of monkey bread. :) The good old days. The Rockford dams have a lot of memories for me as well- first kisses, lazy strolls, relaxing from shopping excursions, and field trips. It is funny to think of all the memories I have in this town and these streets, only because to you this looks like just another road. lol But it was such a successful day, lets get on to the good parts. I am tired of being all deep and emotional! lol :) We started with ice cream from the famous place in Rockford called &#8220;Rocky&#8217;s&#8221;! I had my favorite Moose Tracks and Kevin (stupidly) had vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate. This next picture explains why it was so stupid&#8230; hahaha I couldn&#8217;t stop laughing! He reminded me of a little kid. lol After he cleaned himself up we ventured off to the dam&#8230;(Pardon my make-up-less-ness) ;) Sloppy kisses for the camera!!! ;) And let the half a$$ outfit post begin! Now some of Kevin&#8217;s outfit photos :} (He wants to play in that blow up thingy) FINALLY, here are the last few photos. Some of my favorites from the day. :) I didn&#8217;t edit any of these fyi. Just when I thought I was feeling healthy again, I got ANOTHER cold. I thought my immune system was bullet proof, I was wrong lol.

But on the lighter note, I AM SOOO pumped to get back to photo shooting. I miss modeling so much, I feel like I am missing something in my life. SO, I have been in the process of planning a bunch of shoots when I get home. And if nothing happens after this coming trip to NYC I will build my port even more and try again in a few months. They change their minds a lot in the fashion world so BRING IT. ;)

My boyfriend is coming in exactly a day!!! :DDDD I cannot express to you, my dear friends, how excited I am. So many things have happened on this past trip that I just need him to hold me, and kiss me on the head, and tell me life will go on.

Also my best friend is coming on Saturday for a week. She wants to go to Italy, unfortunately I am completely broke now. Like seriously, I have been living off packet meals for the past few days. My one “splurge” was on a small bag of popcorn, and some cough drops. lol I just HATE taking money from my parents, but it looks like they are going to help me. Darn Ireland and not letting me work over here. But I am going to try to go on this trip with her, I would much rather go to Spain though. Oh well.

I have so much due this week for school. Turns out missing a whole week of class is frowned upon? Who knew? Haha, but seriously my teachers have been really nice luckily. They understand that I want to see as much as I can over here in Europe, but I still have a shit load of stuff to do before friends arrive.

Oh btw, its 2AM here, and I am as tired as a baby…

If you are following me on Twitter then you would know I am leaving for Scotland FOR FIVE DAYS! We are leaving in about 4 hours… I feel as though it is pointless to sleep right now, but at the same time when I get there I will be miserable if I don’t! haha I think I am like PMSing too because I feel like I am being a huge bitch to pple! Oh well, Scotland should be cool.

ANYWAYS, the reason for this post. I am going to schedule posts ahead of time, because I do not think I will have computer access whilest travelling! :( I may have a little so I will tweet! I am freaking stressed, so all I will be posting are kick ass pictures of my favorite model… If you know who that is, then get ready! Most of these photos are ones I have never seen before, so hopefully it is a first for you too! :D
