If you have seen my previous post on eloquii by The Limited, you know they are an up and coming plus size brand. They were also kind enough to send me this dress right before Christmas! :) I wore it on Christmas day, and I also wore it my first day back in the office! IT IS SO COMFORTABLE. I seriously want to sleep in it, which is fantastic because I felt/looked great in it! :}

Anyways, Kevin got me an awesome tripod for Christmas so I figured I would get use out of it in my apartment! This is how I styled this dress from eloquii! I also tried a nude lip, which was very unlike me. But edgy and fun. :}

Traveling around is so fun, and it is also how I stay sane. Also, autumn is my favorite season so everything this time of year is stunning on the east coast. :)

This color of dress is perfect for this season. I typically do not wear super form fitting dresses (not really my style), but this dress was too good. I picked this dress up a few years back at a thrift store for like $5, which was a great find. :) I paired this dress with a pair of never been worn Gucci heels that I found at GoodWill for $5. Now THAT was a miracle. Sure they are about a size too big for me, but I made it work! lol ;)

So this look cost about $10! I love thrifting. :D

Do you like thrifting as much as I do??

I felt like a vintage queen in this outfit. The dress is so sturdy and comfortable at the same time. SUCH a good combo.

I have been very inspired from the 1920/30’s lately… Maybe it is the fact that I took some photos for the ModStylists in their 1920’s garb today?

But I have been doing some inspiration image searching, and here is what I got.

What do you think of the 1920’s? What is your favorite decade??

Behind the scenes at my shoot on Saturday! It was a fun one- pics should be coming along soon! <3333
P.S. I styled myself- and all the things I am wearing are either Vintage or thrifted. ;)

FYI: I did not wear this out except for my backyard fire escape. Not to say I wouldn’t I just wanted it in an outfit post. I have really been digging rompers, and sandals with socks lately.

This hat tends to hide my eyes quite well, but honestly I don’t mind it much. The hat is so mod and fabulous I don’t mind covering up some of my face to show it off. But here are more pics of my head in case it bothered you. ;-)

Last summer no one wanted to believe that the rompers were coming back in style! But I bought this red one last summer at Salvation Army and I loved it, very flattering to my curvy body. This one is a little more of a challenge, its tighter.

These socks really give my outfit a much needed splash of color. And there is nothing better than royal blue with black and white.
hat: thrifted ($4), romper: thrifted ($3), necklace: ModCloth ($12), socks: ModCloth ($10), shoes: ModCloth ($70)

This tribal print is so 80’s and so busy. I really like it. I think the necklace draws away your attention from the print to it, making it AWESOME because I adore cameras. What do you think?

Who said small cities don’t have fashion, the lovely Mandy is here as our guide to all things about being a fashionable curvy girl in Pittsburgh, PA.

“Pittsburgh isn’t exactly a hot spot for fashion, they tend to be a bit behind when it comes to trends. However, sometimes you just have to go your own way and do your own thing! Which is what I have always been pretty good at. I am a huge thrift-er, and that is one fabulous thing about this city. There are a lot of Goodwill’s, and Salvation Army’s all the while being completely stocked with old unique items. I could thrift shop all day!

My favorite item here is my scarf. This scarf was thrifted (go figure) and I really like using scarves as a neck pieces. I just think a good scarf can really pull an outfit together, or add that “wow” factor. I have been using this style for about a year now, and have gotten a lot of compliments! So, give it a try ladies!” – Mandy
