Let’s face it. It is so darn hot. I realize my outfit doesn’t actually look like something normal people would wear in this heat, but I am still working on figuring out my summer wardrobe. And who says you cannot wear a ton of black in the summer?
I really despise shorts. I wish I could get over it, but they always ride up between my legs. EW. I need to find at least one good pair! In the mean time I have this pair of jeans that fit me PERFECTLY. :} Just JC Penny’s folks! lol
I do wear a lot of black, but I am learning that it is summer and you are supposed to wear color. So I brought in this clutch! Thanks to Miskabelle for sending this to me! :) I love it, such a great pop of color! I also feel like I have never really incorporated clutches into outfit photos, so this is a first! :)
Moving on to this fabulous poncho I got at Goodwill! I am obsessed with ponchos, I know they really aren’t anywhere these days! I haven’t seen them on the runways very much. But OH WELL! lol I love how versatile they are! Versatile you say?!? Yes, let me show you!

So this is the normal way to wear ponchos! In case you didn’t know. haha
I am sorry I look so miserable (I am hot and not in the good way), but this is another way to wear your poncho. Basically all I did was take the poncho off and roll it around and around itself, then put it on like a circle scarf! I think it looks pretty decent!
And here is the last way I could think of wearing a poncho. I just took the two corners that point down to the ground and tied them together! Kinda strange looking, but kinda chic too! (Arms up in the air awkwardly to show you the full affect).
